Great News!
Thanks to the caring of people like you, Barry received his Kidney-Pancreas transplant November 24th 1997 at 3:00am. He is resting comfortably and doing fine. We were able to raise enough money to cover his portion of the costs. The family wishes to thank everyone that donated for their generosity and kindness. I need your help!

Hi, My name is Barry Wright. I'm just a regular person with a huge problem. You see, I'm dying of kidney failure and the complications of diabetes.

Doctors are keeping me alive with dialysis, but my only hope of recovery is a kidney/pancreas transplant.

That's why I'm here passing the hat and asking you for contributions. I've always worked hard and felt self-sufficient. Probably just like you.

Medical insurance will only pay part of my transplant cost, leaving me to raise $80,000! I wish my family could pay that. They can't. I cannot get the Kidney - Pancreas Transplant until I raise the money .

I could be bitter, but hey, something like this could happen to any one of us. Rather than just give up in despair, a dear friend, Cori Prazen convinced me to ask you for help.

If you decide to help me pay for a transplant, any donation you give will be greatly appreciated by me and my family.

When you send a donation, don't just do it for me. Do it for yourself, too. You'll feel great knowing you helped save someone's life. And after all, it could be you standing here and swallowing your pride, asking me for money.

A Note From The Webmaster
I decided to take up the fight for transplant patients because they could be me, or any of you. They are hard working, independent people, who like us, naively walked around thinking they were covered for a catastrophe like this. They are people who never thought they would ever be in a position like this and it's very hard for them to ask for your help.

If everyone who sees this would just send $10.00, we could do this before it's too late. In the event that we do collect money over and above what is needed, it will be used to help another transplant patient. The Deseret Foundation is privately funded and all administrative costs are from grants. Every penny you send goes directly to the transplant fund. You can make a difference!
