The van was parked in front of our house. It was a really loud lightning storm. It sounded like it was hitting all around us. You didn't dare poke your head out and look around. It was evening, after dark, and our son, Lucas, said it looked like it hit right out front. We didn't realize it had hit the van until the next day. It was amazing how it got so hot so quickly that it melted the plastic parts, but didn't catch the seats on fire. It must have hit the windshield and entered that way.
